Press release from the County of Dane: January 25, 2022 The Dane County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 32-year-old male who was part of the jail's Custody Alternative Monitoring Program (CAMP). At approximately 5:30 pm on Monday, January 24, Dane County Sheriff's deputies, Waunakee Police and EMS responded to a residence on CTH I in the town of Westport for an unresponsive male. Efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful. An autopsy is scheduled by the Dane County Medical Examiner's Office for Wednesday, January 26. The man was serving a sentence for felony bail jumping and had been in the diversion program since July of 2021. This press release was produced by the County of Dane.
