Fans of grindhouse, you won't want to miss the showing of the movie Stanley, directed by the godfather of grindhouse himself, William Grefé. William “Wild Bill” Grefé, the godfather of grindhouse, is an award-winning filmmaker known for films such as Stanley, Mako: The Jaws of Death, and Whiskey Mountain, to name just a few. He was second unit director for the James Bond film Live and Let Die, has worked on countless other film projects, and has directed hundreds of commercials. Bill has also worked with celebrities such as Rita Hayworth, Don Johnson, William Shatner, and a host of others. He is in Who’s Who in Entertainment, was Chairman for the Directors Guild of America 5 times and was given the key to the city of North Miami. On February 22, 2022, at the Savor Cinema in Ft. Lauderdale, he will present his film, Stanley. The movie will be followed by a Q&A afterwards. The event will start at 6:00 PM where we can mingle, have a glass of wine, and take plenty of pictures. The movie will start at 7:00 PM, and afterwards, Bill will take some time to answer your questions. All the proceeds from this event will go to the Florida Arts Network in honor of Rose Warner, who worked so hard to promote filming in Florida. The Florida Arts Network is keeping her memory alive through the Rose Warner Award Show. Each year, a category is selected, and the winner is presented with the Rose Warner Award for Excellence.
