Description
A house person’s duties will consist of the following:
Full time, year-round, house person will be required to perform light maintenance work such pressure cleaning and painting, shuttering and any work as designated by your supervisor.
Report to work on time.
Dress cleanly and neatly at all times.
Report any items that need repair or attention to Maintenance Supervisor immediately.
Pick up and deliver inter-complex mail.
Wash cars once a week.
Keep sidewalks and carport areas clean of all trash and leaves, and free of standing water (squeegee).
Use blowers and vacuums on carports and walkways instead of water-sweeping when possible. Keep driveways clean.
Clean entry ways and foyers to buildings daily.
Collect the trash and put recyclables out at correct times. Trash cans and recycle bins are to be kept clean and replaced in the designated space (after pick-up), daily.
Clean the hallways at least weekly and as needed, thoroughly dust and polish furniture, sills, moldings, glass and mirrors.
Clean the lights and the light fixtures.
Replace light bulbs inside and outside as needed.
Change the ceiling tiles where applicable.
Clean stairwells front and rear weekly, or more often if needed.
Clean all hallway windows inside and outside.
Be available to assist residents with groceries, packages, plants, small furniture, etc.
Do minor touch-up painting.
Keep all trash, electrical, and maintenance storage rooms clean.
Clean elevators walls, rails and the stainless control panel, and polish elevator tracks.
Clean hand prints from walls and doors.
Check all emergency lights in the buildings and stairwells weekly, and report any malfunctions to Maintenance Supervisor.
Keep door entry machines clean.
At the end of each day, walk around each building, pick up trash, make sure all common area doors are closed and securely locked. This includes: exit doors, trash room doors.
Perform any work as designated by your supervisor.
