POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ — A Point Pleasant Beach man has been charged with burglary and theft after a borough police officer on patrol caught him coming out of a house with stolen items, police said Tuesday. Jason M. Pascale, 41, was arrested Sunday afternoon and is being held at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, Police Chief Robert J. Kowalewski said. Police Officer Jeffrey Latshaw was patrolling in the area of Sanborn and Baltimore avenues about 1:15 p.m. Sunday when he saw a man, later identified as Pascale, go into a home where he did not belong and come out of the garage with several items that he had stolen, Kowalewski said. Kowalewski urged borough residents to be aware and call the police department if they see suspicious activity.
