Description
Private facility/individual is looking for an experienced equestrian to assist in exercising and caring for horses. Must be a confident rider and have practice with different disciplines. Duties include riding, long lining, lounging, hand walking, grooming, washing, braiding and taking care of any ailments. Individual must ben responsible, dependable, have a soft hand, gentle approach and be comfortable around young horses as well as large draft breeds. No drama, drugs or issues. This is NOT a barn help position to clean stalls, feed or maintain grounds. You MUST have a strong riding ability. This is NOT an opportunity to learn to ride. The responsibilities of riding are shared with the owner of the horses. A schedule is set up for which horses to be worked on which days. There are currently 7 horses, but not all horses are worked everyday. Expected hours are 15-30 hours per week. Schedule is flexible.
