NORTHBROOK, IL — Ethan Fink is the 2022 Maple School Geography Bee champion. Competing remotely, the eighth-grader won on Jan. 20 what the school is calling the "longest" edition of the annual event ever held at the school. Maple School Social Studies teachers Mary Norquist, Mario Gurgone, and April Lobo hosted the 90-minute competition. Social Studies teachers Mario Gurgone and Mary Norquist, Geography Bee runner-up Randy Yang, Social Studies teacher April Lobo, winner Ethan Fink (remote), and Principal Sam Kurtz.(Northbrook/Glenview SD 30)Sixth-grader Randy Yang was the runner-up. Other top finalists included: Charlie Beazley, Everett Brooks, Billy Considine, Bradley Feinstein, Elliot Fink, Sophie Hou, Ethan Pollack, Alexandra Popa, Alex Rim, Aidan Ro, Matthew Schick, Nate Szmuilowicz, Adeline Tan, Evan Webb, Audrey Wiseman, Oscar Wojtkowski, and Oliver Wojtkowski.
