Description
UPPER EAST SIDE, NY — Having trouble finding an at-home COVID test at your local drugstore? Try grabbing a free one Wednesday afternoon, courtesy of a local lawmaker.
The giveaway, set for 12 p.m. Wednesday, will happen at the Carnegie Hill Neighbors Office at 1326 Madison Ave. (between East 93rd and 94th streets), on the garden level.
About 300 tests will be given out on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Each person will be allowed to take one test.
Besides the test kits, Powers's office will also be giving out hand sanitizer, face shields and KN95 masks.
"As New York City continues to confront this public health crisis, it's essential that we have the resources necessary to protect ourselves and our community against the virus," Powers said in an email.
