Construction Delivery Driver/Labor

We are seeking a delivery driver/material handler to pick up/deliver materials to our residential construction jobs and perform general labor duties. MAJOR DUTIES: The following list contains many of the duties to be performed but is not all-inclusive: --safely load and unload all equipment/materials over all terrains, and properly secure all loads; --travel to job sites and work outdoors; --responsible for routine fueling, lubricating, and servicing of vehicles; --maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions, and the ability to drive during the daytime; --pick up job site debris and take to dump/garbage- Must be able to tow a dump trailer --when not driving, will be directed by Project Manager/Foreman on tasks to be completed; --may need to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 lbs --perform all of the above job functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury and equipment damage. REQUIREMENTS Driver must meet the following requirements and standards: -- General Construction experience/knowledge --Must have and maintain a current valid CA driver’s license; --Demonstrate the ability to load/unload, secure load, obey highway traffic regulations, and deliver equipment and materials in a timely manner as not to delay production on job sites; --Neat, clean appearance, professional, punctual and reliable; --Must be organized and efficient at multitasking; --Must be able to pass a drug test/alcohol test -- Must have experience towing dump trailers PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, type and use mouse; reach with hands and arms; and talk and/or hear. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time, but may also have extended periods where he or she is required to walk, lift, carry and stack items of up to 100 pounds.
