This is Effie, the sweetest 6 month old lady Lab mix you will ever meet! Effie is a darling, she plays well with other dogs and is excellent with children. She had a rough start in life when she was dumped in the woods with her siblings but since her rescue, she has blossomed into what every lab puppy should be; loyal, smart, cuddly, playful and full of adventurous spirit! Effie has learned “sit” and “lay down” and knows “come” when we’re in the house but outside she tends to get distracted and will need continued training. She is learning to not pull on the leash and loves to take hikes or walks with her human. Effie is a sweetheart and a people person, she gets loves and cuddles everywhere she goes! Effie is still in potty training, for the most part she knows that inside is not a bathroom and outside is the proper place to do the business but she hasn’t learned how to ask to be let out yet and will need to be kept on a schedule. She scratched at the door once and she got lots of praise for the action so I think her epiphany is right around the corner. Effie also loads up in the car by herself and is a quiet rider, she is crate trained and knows not to jump on people. Effie has a sweet, laid back personality, she has enthusiasm for life without being a spaz, she has her goofy moments that are very entertaining but all in all, she has a calm disposition, a willing to please attitude and a tail that never stops wagging! Effie would make an excellent family pet or companion, she wants to be where the action is and is eagerly looking forward to meeting her forever family soon.
