2nd Shift Anthracite Company Maintenance/Plant Operator POSITION SUMMARY: Operates equipment to control raw coal feed, crush, size, and wash coal for processing. Starts equipment, such as pumps, drum, shakers, sizing screens, vibrators, and conveyors. Regulates flow of coal, gravity, rock and other foreign material and transfers cleaned coal by size to pockets for sale or storage. Observes equipment, gauges, lights, and other indicators and adjusts equipment to insure maximum cleanliness and recovery of clean coal. Lubricates and repairs equipment and replaces parts, using hand and power tools. Inspects work area and reports defects to supervisor and/or maintenance. Housekeeping of work area. Comply with M.S.H.A. and Pennsylvania mining regulations; also Company safety rules including wearing of protective safety equipment. Responsible for safety of self and other employees.
