Lola is a sweet tempered Australian Shepherd mix. She was my father's best friend. He is no longer with us, and I finally feel like Lola is ready to find a new family, she has so much more love to give! Lola is fully potty trained. My father also trained her to sit, stay, lay down, heel, treats, go potty and crate up. She will also sit while you're filling her food bowl and wait for you to say 'good girl' before eating. He used to show her skills off, walking around the house and down the hall before saying it, lol. My dad always gave her her shots from All Pets (in the refrigerated section) that's all I know unfortunately. She is fixed! She gets along with all people and as for other dogs, she raises her hackles when she meets stranger dogs, but very quickly moves into 'let's play' mode ☺️ She loves to play fetch with her tennis balls. He also trained her on the perimeters of his yard with a beeping collar. When he beeped it, she knew to circle back. Eventually she knew her boundaries and he didn't need the collar anymore. He was working on putting treats on her nose and seeing how long she would balance them before he passed. We have a very old and cranky, four legged family member, that has become very territorial with Lola in the house. Otherwise, we would be keeping her. She is 2 years old. She LOVES to sleep in bed with you, but also enjoys her crate just as much. She has a doggie bed with removable washable cover and a few toys that she would bring with her. She's already picked up the command 'out of the kitchen' and knows not to pass that doorway. She also knows she is not allowed on any of the couches or chairs. Super smart girl! She is flea and tick free, and she is an inside dog. That's a must for us. Feel free to email us if you're interested in adopting Lola. There is no fee btw! My only stipulation is that she isn't going to a home where she will be an outside dog.
