Join us for a celebration of Black music, dance, and culture on New College's beautiful bayfront! A celebration of Black music and culture, Sur La Bay Music Festival features R&B, soul, Jazz, afro-punk, and afro-beat music and dance artists as well as a DJ spinning the latest dance music. Artists include: Greg Banks, The Barker Project, and Tosha "Ayo" Alston of Ayodele Drum and Dance. Join us at 7 pm for a night of joy, dance, and good music! This concert is being organized in collaboration with New Music New College. Support for this event was made possible by a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. New College’s annual Black History Month program rallies the campus community as we celebrate and explore the rich history, culture, and contemporary realities of Black people and communities. As an annual program, Black History Month at New College intentionally focuses on Black communities in the United States and abroad in order to highlight the complexity and multiplicity of blackness and Black experiences.
