Chiappy-Executive Vice President, Southeast Region-Equitable Advisors, LLC About the SpeakerLuis G.Chiappy is Executive Vice President of the Southeast Region of Equitable Advisors and Senior Manager of Equitable Advisors' South Florida Branch. Within Equitable Advisors, the South Florida branch has continuously ranked as one of the top field branch offices. The branch is also one of the largest of its kind in the state of Florida, and is comprised of approximately 200 financial professionals. Mr. Chiappy has earned the following professional designations: CFP® (from the College of Financial Planning), Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant (CLU and ChFC respectively, both from the American College) and LUTCF (from the Life Underwriter Training Council). He has been awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors, after receiving a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Chiappy also successfully completed a multi-session training program on advanced investment and wealth management strategies at the Equitable Advisors Institute at Harvard. Mr. Chiappy is a member of the following industry and civic organizations: the Miami Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (MAIFA), Financial Security for All (Finseca) and is a Lifetime and Qualifying member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT). Mr. Chiappy is also on the Board of Governors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and is past Chairman of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Chiappy is the first Hispanic board member of the General Agency Managers’ Association (GAMA) and was elected as the first Hispanic President. Mr. Chiappy was born in Cuba in 1961 and came to the United States at the age of 6. He grew up in Miami, Florida, and now resides in Coral Gables with his wife, Cary. ______________________________________________________________________________ BiografíaLuis G. Luis ha sido galardonado por numerosas organizaciones de negocios de todo el continente, y a la vez pertenece a un nutrido numero de grupos profesionales y caritativos. Entre ellos se destaca el participar en la junta gobernante de la Camara de Comercio del Gran Miami y el de liderear la Camara de Comercio de Coral Gables.
