Description

Celebrating Black History month February 2022 with the City of Glenarden (Mayor Cashenna A. Cross hosted) In the immediate wake of a traumatic experience such as the dismal mood across our society at the loss of life and separation due to the COVID19, large numbers of affected people report distress, including new or worsening symptoms of depression, anxiety, and insomnia. Most people will recover, though that recovery can take some time. A notable fraction of people will develop chronic symptoms severe enough to meet criteria for a mental illness, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or major depressive disorder. We'll in acknowledging that we are simply better together, The Movies after dark and First Glenarden Drive-In is a response to the distress being experience across the city, district, county, state, and nation. I am finding ways to keep our community united and safely thriving amidst the dreary state of the present. This is a county AND STATE election year and we are making a push for folks to get out and vote...encourage new registrations as a right and privilege endowed on every American-USE IT. This is an opportunity to bring light to the darkness and shine hope in the midst of despair. As a City Glenarden will rise to the occasion on be there for the peaceful, progressive, and Enjoyable needs our people. "Moving the Mission Forward" Mayor Cashenna A.
