Description

Come spend the morning with a bunch of other dads and their kids as everyone learns how to go ice fishing! Join the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Let’s go Fishing program for an introduction to learn the basics of ice fishing! This clinic will be geared toward participants of all ages and levels of experience, including those who are completely new to fishing! Topics covered will include safety, equipment, regulations and more, providing you with the skills to ice fish on your own! All fishing equipment will be provided. Participants should dress for cold weather. Consider bringing something warm to drink and a bucket or a chair to rest on, too. This event will take place on Sunday Feb 13th at Indian Brook Reservoir in Essex from 9am-11am. No fishing licenses are required as this program is an extension of the Vermont Fish and Wildlife department. Should you choose to harvest any legal fish caught during the seminar you will be required to have a fishing license. Meet at the boat launch at 9am sharp and we will go over some safety notes and walk on to the ice as a group. The boat launch area is pictured below with a check mark and has limited parking spots. The two circled areas are parking spots which you can park at and walk to the boat launch area. Dads can come alone, or they can bring their children. Just be sure to include everyone you're bringing when you sign up! Space is limited to 25 spots, although we may open up a second workshop from 11:00-1:00 if the demand is high enough.
