Join us for a special "Muletown in the Round" session with Wynn Varble, Bridgette Tatum, and Mark Alan Springer It's time for another round of singer-songwriters at Marcy Jo's Muletown in Columbia, TN. A native of South Carolina, Bridgette Tatum co-wrote "She's Country," which was recorded and released by Jason Aldean and held the No. 1 position on the chart for two consecutive weeks. Bridgette's "Loud" was selected as the Official Theme Song for ACC Football's 2010 Season. She’s also a very talented and award-winning music producer. In 2019 and 2020, she was named best producer in the Nashville Industry Music Awards (NIMA). Bridgette has written songs performed by Gretchen Wilson, Kristy Lee Cook, and Randy Houser and has released her own album on iTunes. Song credits include: "Back" (Randy Houser), "Big Wood Deck" (Gretchen Wilson), "Mary Kay and Maybelline" (Gretchen Wilson), "Stacy" (Gretchen Wilson), and "Summertime Town" (Gretchen Wilson). Songwriter Mark Allen Springer has written songs like “Two Sparrows in a Hurricane,” which was recorded by Tanya Tucker and named one of the Top 10 songs of 1993 by TNN’s Music City News songwriter awards show. The song was also nominated as ACM’s “Song of the Year.” Springer later scored with the No. 1 hit “One Boy, One Girl” recorded by Collin Raye. Then Mark caught the ear of Kenny Chesney, who has recorded five of his tunes including the No. 1 hit “When I Close My Eyes.” In 1997, Springer landed the No. 5 spot on Music Row magazine’s list of the year’s top songwriters with the hits “When I Close My Eyes,” “Where Corn Don’t Grow,” and “Thank God For Believers” No. 1, No. 3, and No. 1. In 1998, Mark landed his fifth No. 1 song with Kenny Chesney’s version of “That’s Why I’m Here.” Later that year, Springer was named BMI’s Country Songwriter of the Year. Host Wynn Varble is an American country music musician and songwriter. The self-taught musician picked up the guitar at the age of 15 and relocated to Nashville in 1992 signing with Starstruck Writers Group in 1994 (which later became Warner/Chappell Music). Wynn had his first #1 song "Have You Forgotten" with Darryl Worley in 2003. The song was nominated for SONG OF THE YEAR by the CMA. In 2008, “Waitin' on a Woman,” which Wynn co-wrote with Don Sampson was nominated by the CMA for SONG OF THE YEAR. His #1 song, “I'm a Little More CountryThan That” was recorded by Easton Corbin and nominated by the ACM for SONG OF THE YEAR. Varble has co-written songs that have been cut by a range of country artists including, Garth Brooks, Lee Ann Womack, Brad Paisley, Darryl Worley, Easton Corbin, Kellie Pickler, Montgomery Gentry, Jason Sellers, Gary Allan, Trace Adkins, Clint Daniels, Kevin Denney, Tracy Byrd, The Kinleys, Chris LeDoux, Danni Leigh, Mark Chesnutt, and Sammy Kershaw. Recent songwriting hits include writing credits "Mind On Fishin'" (Trace Adkins) and “Sawin’ Logs” penned by fellow songwriters Brice Long and Brandon Kenny (Dillon Carmichael).
