Kimchi Making Contest for Non-Korean or second-generation Korean or higher. 1st $1,000 & Trophy, 2nd $500 & Trophy, 3rd $300 & Trophy. The purpose of this Kimchi Making Competition: The purpose of this competition is to promote kimchi, a traditional Korean side dish that has become a favorite for people worldwide, and to share our love of kimchi-making. The competition is intended for beginners who are non-Korean or second-generation Korean or higher. The ingredients will be prepared by the organizers so even first-timers can participate. Slicing ingredients (radish, green onion) for all participants 2. Blending seasoning 3. Mixing pickled cabbage with seasoning 4. Displaying it on a plate 5. Lastly, taste your kimchi The purpose of this Kimchi making competition We prepared this competition intending to promote kimchi, which has become a favorite food for people worldwide with many advantages and allowing many people to make it themselves. This kimchi-making competition is for beginners and foreigners who are not born in Korea. So the organizers will prepare all the ingredients so that even those who have never made kimchi can come and make it easy. The Scoring Point of View that is important in the competition is as follows. 1. Preparation: Look at how carefully and beautifully sliced the radish or green onions are in the seasoning. 2. Seasoning Preparation: Look at how well the spices such as red pepper powder, garlic, ginger, and salted seafood are mixed. 3. Mixing: See how well the made seasoning is mixed with pickled cabbage. 4. Decoration: See how beautifully the finished kimchi is decorated on the plate.
