Sign up now as an individual or foursome for a full day of golf, food, drinks, raffles & DOGS! All proceeds benefit Home At Last Dog Rescue! For the second consecutive year, Menninger & Associates Financial Planning has decided to host a golf outing for charity. The goal is to find specific charities in our community that we can help give back to. Our firm is a strong advocate for the community, as they are the very people that keep us in business. Every year, 6.5 million dogs, cats, and other former pets are abandoned or lost and enter animal shelters. Of these 6.5 million, only 3.2 million are adopted and many see shelters again after less than a year of finding a new home. Each year, roughly 3.3 million dogs enter shelters and of that 670,000 are euthanized. This is why this year we have chosen to team up with Home At Last Dog Rescue, as they aim to put a leash on these numbers and place sheltered dogs into loving homes. When it comes to a new furry family member their motto is, don't shop - adopt! Most people aren't aware that the majority of puppies are from mills, and many pet stores will not disclose that fact to buyers. Brookside Country Club provides traditional private club amenities with fine dining in a casual and family friendly atmosphere. Challenging layout, lush fairways, fast and true greens. This is what Brookside's course layout is all about. You will be treated to some of the finest dining in the Pottstown area in one of our many newly renovated dining rooms or on the "al fresco" covered terrace or patio. Registration will be from 11:30am to 12:45pm, with lunch on the patio. Golfers will enjoy: hot dogs, hamburgers, potato & pasta salad, watermelon, and beverages of their choice. There will be a 1:00pm shotgun start with complimentary beverage stations on the course, and numerous mini games to participate in. Dinner will be served at 5:45pm in either the ballroom or patio (weather permitting). Golfers will enjoy a buffet style meal featuring: caesar salad, carved roast prime rib of beef au jus with horseradish, chicken marsala, roasted red bliss potatoes, green beans almandine, and a dessert ice cream bar. We will close with the awards ceremony and a word from the host and charity. After a successful inaugural outing and exceeding the number of golfers signed up, and targeted funds raised, we hope for an even more successful outing this year!
