Sketch With Us! On-location study & self-expression urban sketching, a group discovery in pen & colors - Downtown Orlando. Join the Orlando Urban Sketchers on an on-location study & self-expression sketching from direct observation. A group discovery in pen & colors inspired by Indonesian USk Instructor, Artist LK. Bing's Classical Moods & Dramatic Composition style. We will position ourselves in three street corners along S. Rosalind Ave., Downtown Orlando, to capture the street vibes and perspectives and apply colors of self-expression that describe each individual mood and emotions of the moment. This sketch-outing is a group study and discovery we will run together, supporting each other and learning from each other. It fits all skill levels. WHEN: Sunday, January 30, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm MEET UP: At the corner of Church St. And S. Rosalind Ave. SKETCHING LOCATION: Along S. Rosalind Ave, at the corners of Pine St, Church, and Jackson streets. PARKING: Street parking /at the Orange County Bldg Division on 201 S. Rosalind Ave / at a garage across from Embassy Suites Hotel on Pine St. WHAT TO BRING: Folding stool, sketchbook, your personal drawing, and painting supply. WEATHER: Dress for the weather. Sunday will be sunny but cool. *TIP: If you find an interest in LK Bing colors pallet for this specific study as to apply a dramatic vibe to your sketch, consider checking your watercolors supply to bring along any of the following: Indigo, Prussian blue, Shadow Violet, Cobalt turquoise, Burnet Sienna, Cadmium orange Hue, Maple Yellow, Titanium white. While gel pen or thin white Uni Poska marker. This list is JUST A SUGGESTION. Our Self Expression vibes during this study can go in all rays of color shades we each choose. The use of watercolor is not mandatory. You can use any drawing media of your choice: color pencils, markers, ink and pens, pastel, gouache, digital tablet. All goes well! The cool fact about urban sketching is that while we are true to the scene we observe and sketch, we follow our hearts and passion for giving it the final interpretation in line and colors into visual stories our own style.
