Framingham State Freezes Tuition For Second Year

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham State University students won't pay more for tuition and other college costs over the 2022-23 school year. The university's Board of Trustees has voted to keep those rates flat for the second year in a row. The school froze tuition and fees for the first time following the pandemic, a crisis that's still hurting students and their families, university officials said. "With the support of our Board of Trustees, I'm happy to say that we are fully committed to keeping the price of attending Framingham State University flat once again for the upcoming academic year," President F. Javier Cevallos said in a news release. In-state tuition costs about $11,380 per year per student, according to FSU. Cevallos said the school has held the line on tuition by keeping department budgets tight. The school has also increased student financial aid by about $1 million in recent years.
