The Painter Helper is an entry-level position in our painting department. The chosen individual will assist personnel with the general transport of parts and painting related duties. This is a third shift position. Interested in learning more? Please apply at: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the smooth transition and transport of parts and equipment to the paint shop. Prepare a variety of parts for painting including laying parts out on screens, pushing loaded screens in and out of paint booth, sanding parts, masking off non-paint areas and generally assisting the painters. Ensure paint shop is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required. Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or G.E.D. strongly preferred. Minimum of two years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment strongly desired. Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required. Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus. Valid Washington State Driver's License in good standing is required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required. Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required. Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required. Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
