The Assembly Shop Helper will assist personnel within Assembly with general expediting of materials and parts, cleaning, and assisting the department in assembly and loading duties. Interested? Please follow the link and apply: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Check in parts ensuring all received parts are properly accounted for and organized. Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within the Assembly department. Ensure Assembly area is clean in appearance including removing trash and sweeping as required. Successfully operate forklift and move pallets of goods throughout shop floor. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or G.E.D. required. Minimum of two years of general assistant experience in a large machinery/equipment-manufacturing environment strongly desired. Basic mathematical skills and ability to read a tape measure required. Knowledge of machining procedures and the use of micrometers, calipers, and gauges preferred Forklift and overhead crane experience a plus Valid state driver's license in good standing is required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment, proactively contributing ideas to improve operations required. Demonstrated ability to be adaptable, tactful, and self-directed when faced with tight deadlines and fluid environments required. Basic oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in English required. Must possess a proven history of being reliable with excellent attendance.
