Arts Center For Reston Next To Be Reviewed At Upcoming Meetings

RESTON, VA —Members of the public are invited to help Fairfax County and the Reston Community Center to examine the feasibility of an arts venue being at the Reston Next development. As part of its proffer agreement, Boston Properties agreed to provide room for 60,000-square-foot arts center and performing arts venue in Block J of the Reston Town Center development. Community members, arts organizations and educators will be able to attend meets aligned with their particular interests where they can provide insight on needs and expectations for the proposed center. Architectural firm Grimm + Parker will then take that information and do a rough-order-of-magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for the center. In July 2018, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved the the Boston Properties' proffer agreement, which identified a piece of land located near the Sunset Hills and Town Center Parkway in Reston as a potential location for an arts center.
