MILFORD, CT — Cornerstone Christian Center is about to embark on an "off-site parking facility" at 352 Wheelers Farms Road, according to plans filed with the city of Milford. The application was approved with conditions by the city's Planning and Zoning Board. The church plans to add 97 new paved parking spaces, according to documents filed with the PZB. The proposal would "provide additional accessory parking spaces for the church's main sanctuary located at 349 Wheelers Farm Rd. with additional parking spaces for the existing single family home that is currently being used for staff and intern housing." The additional spaces would be primarily used during the two worship services on Sunday. There will be a shuttle bus for the patrons between the church and the ancillary parking lot before and after the service, according to documents. The church also proposed adding sidewalks and a crosswalk to get from the site to the church on the opposite end of Wheelers Farms Road.
