MERIDEN, CT — A man was arrested by Meriden police Friday who was wanted for attempted in Vermont, according to The Meriden Record-Journal. Matthew Champagne, 19, was charged with second-degree larceny, interfering with police, reckless driving, engaging police in pursuit, and operating without a license.
Meriden police charged Champagne with stealing a car from a gas station. Police later learned he was wanted for attempted murder charges in Vermont, The Meriden Record-Journal reported.
Law enforcement in Vermont is making arrangements to have him returned to the state.
