Press release from the Summit Public Schools: 2022-01-24 SHS Students Accepted into CJMEA Region Ensembles Six Summit High School music students successfully auditioned for the Central Jersey Music Educators Association (CJMEA) Region ensembles. These students competed against hundreds of music students from across the entire central Jersey region. We congratulate the following students on the great honor of being accepted into their respective ensembles! Scarlet Mai Bale Dyer, Ejoo Kang, Brian Axtell, John Cho, James Ritter, & Lillian Espeland (not pictured) In addition to CJMEA Region auditions, Brian Axtell recently placed fourth overall for trumpet in the New Jersey All-State Band auditions. The New Jersey All-State Band will be performing at NJPAC and the NJMEA Convention later this year.
