DARIEN, CT — Darien First Selectman Monica McNally thanked United Way of Coastal Fairfield County this week for a recent "generous grant" to Darien Human Services.
In a news release, McNally said she, along with the town's human services department, would like to thank Jeff Kimball, Michele Litt and Sam Tingley of United Way for the grant, which will help the town provide emergency financial assistance to eligible Darien residents and enable them to better serve their clients throughout the year.
McNally also noted they were grateful for the organization's donation of N95 masks for Darien's most vulnerable residents.
"We are very lucky to have The United Way of Coastal Fairfield County support us as we reach out to those in need in our community," McNally said in a news release. "Their thoughtfulness and generosity is much appreciated by both our staff and the clients we serve."
McNally did not disclose the amount of the grant.
