MAULDIN, SC — COVID-19 hospitalizations have dipped slightly nationally, but experts warn that there is still a long way to go before the country reaches pre-omicron variant levels. Around 150,000 inpatient beds were being used for COVID-19 patients as of Jan. 25, which was a drop of more than 8,000 beds from the prior week, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
