Description
OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - One unlucky Jersey Shore home has been struck by not one, but two vehicles in incidents nearly one week apart, authorities said.
On Jan. 15, a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the residence, according to the Ocean Township Police Department. The driver, Tristan Jordan, was issued several motor vehicle summonses and released from the scene.
In an unrelated incident on Jan. 23 at around 4:20 a.m., officers from the Ocean Township Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash at the residence. There were no residents inside of the home at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported.
"The vehicle was unoccupied and surrounding towns were notified," Ocean Township police said. "During the course of the investigation officers learned that the vehicle was reported stolen from New York City."
The driver of the stolen vehicle, Jeify Morel, was later located and placed under arrest, police said.
Due to the location of the new damage, the Asbury Park Fire Department was requested to investigate a possible structural issue, the Wanamassa Fire Company said in a Facebook post detailing the second incident:
"This [photo, pictured above] may look familiar, as yes, this is the same exact home that was struck about a week ago," the fire department wrote.
