About 400 million masks are on their way to pharmacies across the country from the Strategic National Stockpile, a federal storehouse of emergency medical equipment and drugs. A three-mask per person limit exists.
The N95 masks can filter out more than 95 percent of air particles and offer the highest protection level against COVID-19 spread, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
