Description

We are looking for an Assistant Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles and equipment. You will be responsible for assisting the mechanic with troubleshooting issues and fixing them aiming to maximum reliability and functionality. An excellent mechanic has good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. They are well-versed in complex mechanical systems of vehicles and equipment and have excellent problem-solving abilities. Pay $15 - $28 based on experience Responsibilities Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accuratelyInspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgradeConduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevitySchedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle useRepair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance jobKeep logs on work and issuesMaintain equipment and tools in good condition Skills Proven experience with gasoline and diesel equipmentExcellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehiclesWorking knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methodsAbility to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.Excellent physical conditionHigh school diploma is preferred.'
