Press release from the City of Encinitas: 01/24/2022 The following streets intersecting at N. Coast Highway 101 will be temporarily closed one at a time for road improvements and reconstruction. Construction crews will be lowering the roads to match the elevations of the new N. Coast Highway 101 pavement. Access for businesses and residents will be maintained at all times during the work and temporary detour routes will be in place.   Basil Street – Closed from Wednesday, January 26th to Friday, January 28th Athena Street – Closed from Monday, January 31st to Wednesday, February 2nd North Court – Closed from Thursday, February 3rd to Friday, February 4th El Portal Street – Closed from Monday, February 7th to Tuesday, February 15th   Please obey all construction signs in the area and travel safely and slowly through the construction zones.
