Description

KANE COUNTY, IL — Two Illinois residents and students attending are eligible to receive $500 scholarships from Kane County Sheriff Ron Hain. To qualify, applicants must be permanent Illinois residents and enrolled as full-time students during the 2022-2023 school years. Scholarships must also be used as higher-learning institutions in Illinois. For the upcoming school year, the Illinois Sheriff's Association is awarding more than $58,000 in college scholarships throughout Illinois. Hain is awarding a portion of that to two chosen students who will be able to use the money on tuition, books and fees. To apply, students can find applications — which include a short essay question — online and submit them by March 15. Applications must be submitted to Christie Duffy at the Kane County Sheriff's Office, 37W755 Route 38 in St. Charles.
