BALDWIN, NY — A man and woman were taken into custody after a disturbance at the Ramada hotel in Baldwin on Sunday afternoon.
Jaqueline Wilson, 31, of Queens, had a dispute with an employee, who struck her in the face, police said.
She returned to her room where Wilson threatened violence against several hotel workers on the phone, detectives said.
She was arrested without incident. Substances believed to be crack cocaine (2.5 grams) and glass pipes were recovered from the room, police said.
During the investigation, it was determined that Andre Wilson, 39, of the same Queens address, arrived at the hotel with three children ages 2, 5 and 7. He left the children unattended in the vehicle and was uncooperative and combative with police, detectives said.
There was a struggle, leading to an officer injuring his hand before the man was subdued, police said.
Andre Wilson was arrested and police found him in possession of:
50 pills of a substance believed to be Roxicodone29 pills believed to be ecstasyA substance believed to be heroin (7.1 grams)A substance believed to be crack cocaine (6.9 grams)A substance believed to be cocaine (2.3 grams)A substance believed to be methamphetamine (16 grams)Additionally, officers observed a loaded handgun on the floor of the front driver's side, detectives said.
The children were released to a relative.
Jacqueline Wilson is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated harassment. Andre Wilson faces multiple charges including, second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a firearm and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
They were expected to be arraigned in Hempstead on Monday.
