ATLANTA, GA – David Perdue has tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports.
The former U.S. senator, who is challenging Gov. Brian Kemp in the coming GOP gubernatorial primary at the behest of former President Donald Trump, is vaccinated and boosted against the virus and is isolating, his campaign staff told Channel 2 Action News.
Perdue lost his seat in the U.S. Senate in January 2021 after Jon Ossoff forced him into a runoff during the Nov. 3, 2020, election, and spent the final days of the campaign in quarantine after being exposed to someone with the virus.
