HANDS ON HEMPCRETE TRAINING FOR GREEN BUILDING: THIS IS A FIVE WEEK HANDS-ON PROGRAM FOR ENTRY LEVEL WORKERS INTERESTED IN A CAREER IN CALIFORNIA GREEN CONSTRUCTION. Looking for participants 18 years and older (male/female/non-binary) who live in Fillmore, Santa Paula, or Piru. INTRO TO HEMPCRETE construction. In this program participants acquire basic Hempcrete Safety and Installation training. This five week hands-on course offers participants a chance to work in real world settings with actual Hempcrete building materials to learn; Safety, Site Prep, Installation, and Finishing. Participants will also be trained in the recognition, avoidance, abatement, and prevention of safety and health hazards in workplaces in the construction industry through our online OSHA 10 training courses. OSHA training helps to ensure that our participants are knowledgeable about workplace hazards and their rights as an employee. ​ Participants who successfully complete the program with 70% or higher will receive an OSHA 10 Hour Construction Industry wallet card from the OSHA Training Institute (OTI). Once training is complete you will begin working ASAP. starting pay is $20 dollars an hour and you get a raise every 2 months. Pay capped at $60 dollars an hour.
