Sutter's Mills Laser Engraving, a Tempe based manufacturing company, is looking for hard-working, dependable individuals to fill Light Assembly / Cleaning & Engraving positions. POSITION OVERVIEW: The purpose of the cleaning/ assembly production position is to clean and shine newly-engraved products, removing dust and burn residue. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Follows directions and communicates with the training supervisor throughout the shift • Reads all paperwork provided to ensure that products are engraved accurately • Uploads files into image software. • Places items in fixture for the engraving process, and removes when complete • Uses various basic household cleaning agents to perform a variety of cleaning processes specific to each product • Quality checks all products to ensure engraving is straight and accurate • Packages products correctly according to the job order • Reports problems with quality, processes, or equipment to supervisor on shift • Maintains clean and organized work area in order to boost employee’s personal success and production rate • ALWAYS wears close-toed shoes while working • Reports to work on-time daily REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing) • High school diploma or equivalent required • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arm’s length, stoop, kneel, and crouch. • Ability to use work with hands for entire shift (i.e. wiping and packaging products) • Specific vision requirements include being able to see items close up and identify any defects products may have. • Ability to lift and or move up to 60 pounds • Basic computer skills required • Attention to detail and ability to work independently • Self-motivation to meet production goals • Availability to work Monday-Friday each week
