Location: Van Nuys, CA Employee Type : Part Time (30-35 hrs per week) Industry : Nutritional Supplements Job Type : Warehouse Distribution/Delivery Shipping Experience : Entry Level Required education: High school or equivalent Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 5:00PM We are looking for a Warehouse Driver/Worker to join our Team. This individual will be picking, packing and stocking finished goods to ship to our customers & delivering them to our Customers throughout the Southern California area. The Warehouse Driver/Worker will also provide a wide-range of support functions essential to the smooth operation of our customer fulfillment. We have immediate openings for enthusiastic and well qualified Drivers/warehouse shipping and receiving persons interested in a high energy, commercial work environment. Warehouse Driver/Worker tasks will include but are not limited to: - Driving Ford Cargo Vans and Isuzu NPR Diesel Box Trucks - Maintaining proper maintenance schedules on vehicles - Safely, quickly and accurately delivering orders to retail customers & warehouses - Accurately logging routes and distances using GPS cellphone apps - Lifting and carrying boxes up to 70 lbs. - Standing, bending, twisting, squatting, pushing/pulling materials throughout the shift - Standing for up to 2 hours at a time - Finding products in warehouse - Packing products for shipment - Loading and offloading palletized materials on/off delivery vehicles - Completing wholesale and consumer orders for shipping - Restocking packaging supplies - Cleaning and preparing shipping area for next day - Successfully multi-tasking warehouse operations - Working in a team environment as well as independently - Working efficiently and accurately - Being detail oriented and following company protocols - Organizing the shipping area - Proof-Checking orders prepared by others to avoid errors - Performing facilities maintenance duties such as sweeping, dusting and general housekeeping - Ensuring the warehouse area is consistently clean, accessible and safe for customer traffic (Will Call, Freight) - Other duties as assigned Skills Required: - Clean DMV record and be physically able to lift 70lbs - Experience operating forklift, pallet jack and dolly preferred - Qualified candidates must possess strong verbal and written communication skills - Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills - Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative team environment - Strong Work Ethic and Attention to detail (Must be good at following instructions) - Reliable personal transportation to our workplace - Recent experience in a warehouse environment and/or freight handling preferred - Customer Service experience Preferred - Must pass a drug test and criminal background check prior to employment. ** This position requires a lot of physical movement** Please submit resume AND cover letter
