Morey Remodeling Morey Remodeling Group is a residential design and build company looking to hire a Carpenter Apprentice to Lead Carpenter. There is opportunity for advancement; training in business principles; learning the “in’s and out’s” of the remodeling business. Apprentice Carpenter OBJECTIVE: 1. Perform carpentry under direct supervision 2. Expedite timely completion of the work to maintain schedule and budget goals 3. Work safely and follow all Company rules and procedures POSITION REQUIREMENTS: • Basic carpentry skills • Ability to learn and to follow directions carefully • Good communication skills • Curiosity and ability to learn • The ability to read and understand construction documents • Neat Appearance • Reliable vehicle • Ability to work forty-hour work week • Ability to perform physically demanding work on a consistent basis, including lifting 100 pounds • Driver's license and clean driving record. • Required education: High school or equivalent • Experience working on residential or commercial construction projects: 1 year (preferred) • Must be able to pass a drug test and background check POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform the following functions under direct supervision: • Read and interpret paperwork • Assist with Demolition • Install stud framing • Install concrete footing and flatwork forms • Install doors, windows and cabinets • Install drywall Attitude: ∙ Enthusiastic ∙ Positive ∙ Confident ∙ Takes responsibility ∙ Financially driven ∙ Goal oriented ∙ Resilient – able to bounce back from rejection ∙ Client focused ∙ We vs. me focused ∙ Self-starter ∙ Open to change ∙ Friendly
