Western Swing, Rockabilly, traditional Country collaboration?

Description

I am an electric and upright bass player (who has somehow managed to figure out how to play bass and sing simultaneously) out of Belvidere. I'm pushing 40, married, have a couple kids, and have a myriad of responsibilities, but music remains a dominant passion. I have lots of experience playing and performing outlaw and traditional country music (amongst a wide range of other genres, but country music is the promised land for me). I also have modest songwriting, rhythm guitar, backing vocal, and lead vocal chops. I want to combine my experience and influences with yours to build an up-tempo project with the ultimate goal of playing out and recording. If you are a rhythm guitarist, lead guitarist, and/or drummer with a particular passion for outlaw country, red dirt country, rockabilly, western Swing, traditional Country, neo-traditional country, etc, I am eager to hear from you. If you play bass and rhythm guitar, the same applies! (It'd be cool to switch up the strings) Whether we do originals, covers, or a mix, I'd like to cultivate a band in which we work on each other's songs, indulge each other's influences, and share the mic. A full band behind some guy is not what I hope to accomplish. I'd like it to be about the band. An "any band or genre will do" type mentality likely wouldn't cut it. A passion for 'roots' music is pretty darn necessary. That said, I'm open to a variety of influences that could create something unanticipated. As far as my end goes, my influences include: BR-549, BR-549 (worth saying twice), Hank Williams, Ray Price, Johnny Cash, David Allan Coe, Johnny Paycheck, Waylon Jennings, Dwight Yoakam, Travis Tritt, The Derailers, Dale Watson, Hank Williams III, Wayne Hancock, Whitey Morgan and the 78s, Jackson Taylor and the Sinners, Corb Lund, Chris Stapleton, Caleb Klauder, The Steeldrivers, Turnpike Troubadours, and more. That's it. Thanks.
