Spring is coming — Looking for occasional helper

Jobs

Cumberland MD

Description

Recently lost my long time odd jobs helper and looking to replace him. Not much to do in the winter but spring is just around the corner, so looking to fill that slot now. Right now I could probably work you 2 days a week for 4-6 hours, but once the weather turns that will likely be 5 days a week for 6-8 each day. To be clear, I am not a company, just a man with stuff to do and I can’t do it all alone so this is not an official job. A few things on my agenda include but are not limited to: cleaning out a storage space and hauling junk to the landfill, ditto at the house, light carpentry projects around the home and at camp, cutting up downed trees and hauling them out of the woods for firewood, splitting fire wood, mowing a 5 acre field, moving heavy things such as bags of concrete, rocks and sand, building a fenced area for a garden, digging holes in the ground, clearing trails in the woods and anything else that comes up like general stuff around the house such as cleaning windows and clearing cobwebs from the corners. Honestly, you should be willing to do anything and everything. You don’t need your own tools or transportation, but you should be comfortable working with power tools including saws of all types, string trimmers and lawnmowers, and have no fear of heights, snakes, spiders, dirt or being hot and sweaty. Having a valid drivers license is helpful but not necessary. Ideally you’d be unemployed and for whatever reason not really looking for a regular job and be available whenever, but I’m willing to try and work around another schedule. You should be young enough that life hasn’t broken your body yet and old enough to have some common sense like not showing up drunk, stoned or otherwise impaired. I don’t care what you do on your own time, but not on mine. If this sounds like you then hit that reply button and tell me about yourself and let’s schedule an interview.
