Very sweet, older cat in need of a quiet home.

Adorable, sweet medium haired calico looking for a fresh, new quiet home. Cordyline, aka Cordy, is a hefty, spayed, eight year old female. She was live trapped as a tiny kitten in a feral cat colony in Western MD. She has since lived her 8 years fat and happy as an inside/outside girl and has come to love absolutely anyone that will show her affection. In fact, if you're not showing her enough love, she will often 'pet herself' on your hand (or any body part for that matter) to save you the trouble. Cordy has lived with several other dogs and cats in her life as well as many little foster kittens much like herself in the beginning. She gets along with everyone. We used to live in a very open, lofty single family house. She got along great and enjoyed to spend her time between inside and out. Unfortunately, our landlord sold the property and we had to move... taking along all of our animals with us. Our new house is quite different unfortunately. Someone lives above us, who often has children visiting, creating a lot of booming noise. Cordy has had a very hard time adjusting to this. We are also now in a very open outdoor space. She feels less comfortable outside and can't use this as a release. Overall, Cordy is very uncomfortable and unhappy in her new surroundings. This has resulted in her 'acting out' in numerous different ways. Cordy is desperate for a new, quiet home. She loves people and just needs a quiet open space to feel comfortable again. She is on a diet as she is a big girl. I want to find Cordy the proper home and I'm patient to do so.
