Fisher Collision Center in Boulder has an immediate auto body tech position open. We are a family run store and we value our employees. We have a very senior office of estimators and a excellent paint department for you to work with. As a team we are going after unique and different ways of bringing business in and it is exciting. This will be a full time position M-F. Duties to include collision repair, hail damage and structural realignment. Tools, I-CAR training, and drivers license required. Must have current 3 - 5 years experience Must have a good MVR, like working as a team and have a great customer service mindset. Pay per flat rate hour - will be discussed at interview ESSENTIAL DUTIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Removes upholstery, accessories, electrical and hydraulic window and seat operating equipment, and trims to gain access to vehicle body and fenders. Positions dolly block against surface of dented area and beats opposite surface to remove dents, using hammer. Fills depressions with body filler, using putty knife or spreader. Removes damaged fenders, panels, and grilles, using wrenches and cutting torch. Bolts or welds replacement parts in position, using wrenches or welding equipment. Straightens bent automobile frames, using a pneumatic frame straightening machine. Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools. Aims headlights. Inspects painted units for runs, sags, and unpainted areas. Hand-sprays parts to cover unpainted areas or applies rust preventative. Repairs or replaces defective mechanical parts. Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards. Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received. Notifies management of any additional repairs needed. Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time. Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair. Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, safety glasses, and hearing protection in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
