Full Job Description Local general contractor based in Henderson, specializing in residential remodel construction looking for a new member to join our team as a delivery driver. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge in the home remodeling process and knowledge of construction materials. All interested candidates are welcome to apply. We are an EOE. Position Summary: This person drives a 16-foot box truck as needed to pick up parts and materials from our shop or suppliers and delivers the materials to construction job sites. The driver also picks up and delivers tools and other necessary equipment between multiple job sites and the shop. The driver is also responsible for returning materials and tools to the warehouse as needed once they are no longer being used on the job site. This position requires good communication amongst trades and vendors, logistical awareness, and good time management skills. This position requires good physical fitness also as the driver is regularly loading and unloading trucks and lifting and carrying materials, tools, and equipment. Delivery Driver Position Requirements: • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate with tradesmen and project managers. • Must be dependable and have good organizational and communication skills. • Minimum of 3 years driving experience (Non CDL) is required. Experience driving a moving truck is a plus. • Must have a valid license, a clean driving record, and a safety conscious attitude. • Ability to perform deliveries in variable driving conditions and weather conditions. • Ability to drive a 16-foot moving truck safely and operate the lift gate features effectively. • Must understand the proper techniques of safely loading materials and securing loads, as well as the appropriate material handling and strapping tools to use in each scenario. • This position has physical demands and candidates must be physically agile to safely load and unload materials, tools, and equipment regularly. • This position requires regular lifting and carrying of items over 50 lbs. • This position regularly works in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. • Candidates should have a good knowledge of Las Vegas, Henderson and the surrounding area, must have a sense of direction and ability to navigate multiple pick up & delivery destinations efficiently. • Must accurately take verbal and written directions from project managers and complete requested pick up and deliveries efficiently within requested time frames and per instructions. • Must have some knowledge of construction industry tools and materials, and understand the proper material handling standards of construction industry tools, equipment, and materials. • Work with project managers daily, to ensure the timely coordination of tools and equipment as needed.
