Description

Starts May 17th (Tuesdays from 1PM-4PM for six weeks.) Starts May 17th (Tuesdays from 1PM-4PM for six weeks.) Students will learn the art of wet felting a wool background as a "base" . . . to be followed by needle felting on the surface, and the use of other embellishments to create a "one of a kind" wool painting. The piece will be made entirely with wool but will have the look of a painted piece of artwork. If time allows, we will also delve into the world of 3-dimensional felting which allows students to create small critters, such as owls and penguins. Felting is a fun way to be creative and to do something different. Non-members: $250 for 6 weeks. Members: $200. Fee does not include materials. Instructor will provide dense foam pads and needles for each student's use, throughout the 6 weeks. Students will purchase wool for $25, to be paid to the instructor at the first class. NOTE: COVID-19 protocols are in place for the safety of our teachers and students, including wearing masks while inside the building.
