Join us for the debut screening of “Moxie,” produced for Netflix by Amy Poehler, and based on the novel by Houston's Jennifer Mathieu The Orange Show presents the debut public screening of “Moxie,” a coming-of-age tale produced for Netflix and directed by and starring Amy Poehler, based on the young adult novel of the same name by Houston’s Jennifer Mathieu. Mathieu will chat about the book and her inspiration behind it, as well as its adaptation to the screen. In addition, Girls Rock Camp will give a special live performance! Bring your own chair or blanket to watch the film under the stars at the Orange Show World Headquarters! Presented in association with Girls Rock Camp and Zine Fest Houston. The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art preserves, promotes and documents visionary art environments, provides opportunities for the expression of personal artistic vision, and creates a community where that expression is valued. The organization owns and operates The Orange Show Monument, The Beer Can House and Smither Park, as well as produces The Houston Art Car Parade - the largest celebration of its kind in the world.
