Training provides instruction on the roles of the Site and Media Contacts for the main event taking place on Wednesday, February 16th.
SITE HOSTS
1. Commit to be present at your site (Wednesday, February 16th at 5 pm) at least 30 minutes prior to the start time. Your sites have already been booked and I can send you the confirmation email upon request.
2. visit the site no later than February 9th :a. Confirm handicap accessibility and Covid-19 protocols.b. Assess the technology available. Required technology includes Zoom capability, a large screen for viewing the zoom, whether the site will be supplying the computer with the Zoom app installed and a speaker’s microphone. c. Arrange for the presence of a registration table to be located just outside, or just inside, the door of the room.d. Obtain and bring fabric. Tearing the fabric will be a symbol of how the moral fabric of our state has been torn by such actions!
3. If you discover at any time that a site will be unsuitable for any reason, you will let us know immediately.
MEDIA CONTACTS
1. Review of the media packet. 2. Conduct outreach to other local organizations. If possible, the Media Contact should organize publicity on social media. A digital flyer, website and hashtag will be provided for social media publicity.
3. Media Contacts will arrive at the site ½ hour early on February 16th, 4:30 pm, to be available for media interviews.
