Harrisburg Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. sponsors Designer Bag Bingo to support scholarships and community programs. Designer handbags + Bingo= a perfect afternoon of fun and prizes! The cost of a ticket is $25.00 and admission includes 10 games of bingo. Additional bingo games along with a special bingo card can be purchased at the event. There will also be a 50/50 raffle! Bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic drinks and join your friends for pm.fun filled afternoon. The doors will open at 3:00 pm and bingo starts at 4:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund and local community programs. Adults only, no children under 18 . The Harrisburg Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was chartered by 16 dynamic women on Feb. 1, 1958 as the Epsilon Pi Sigma Chapter at the Capital Presbyterian Church in Harrisburg, PA. We owe much to our charter members who include Catherine Coleman, C.B. Cook, E. H. Copper, Elizabeth Ellis, Helen B. Howard, Alfreda Askew Johnson, Jean B. Williams Lee, Zena Bluford Miles, Jennie L. Morrison, Joyce Scott Parker, Charlotte Stewart, Mary Watson, Mary Ann Watts, Evelyn Williams, Juanita Wright and Mary Yancy.  Sisterhood, service and scholarship have always been guiding principles for our sorority and those values remain strong today! In 1960 the chapter awarded its first four-year scholarship to college-bound students. To-date, the Harrisburg Alumnae Chapter has awarded more than $250,000 in scholarships to assist graduating high school seniors with higher education expenses. The Harrisburg Alumnae Chapter celebrated our 60th chapter anniversary in 2018 and wishes to thank the Greater Harrisburg community for support in our endeavors! Our National President, Beverly E. Smith instituted a biennial theme of "Joy in Our Sisterhood, Power in Our Voice and Service in Our Heart."  We welcome you to connect with us at our local community events.
