Description
MILWAUKEE, WI — Six people were found dead Sunday at a home on the city's northwest side, police said.
Investigators believe the five men and one woman found near N. 21 Street and W. Wright Street were homicide victims, the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office said in a statement. Autopsies will be performed Monday.
Each of the victims had gunshot wounds and weren't named, the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement.
Milwaukee Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson called the discovery of the victims "horrific."
"It is important not to feel numbed by the ongoing violence in our community," Johnson said. "These victims died in our city, in one of our neighborhoods."
The medical examiner's office has investigated around 18 homicides in Milwaukee County so far this year.
The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating the deaths, the examiner's office said.
Patch has reached out to police for comment.
