She was adopted by a family in America who never let her say, “I can’t”. From an early age, she loved sports and participated in many of them. During the 1996 Olympic games, Jen was captivated watching the US Gymnastics Team, especially one gymnast, Dominique Moceanu. Watching Dominque inspired Jen to get involved in gymnastics…something she excelled in…achieving all kinds of awards competing against non-disabled athletes. In High School, one of Jen’s friends, also adopted, was able to learn more about her biological family, prompting Jen go to her parents to seek the same kind of information. Jen learned that the last name of her birth parents was Moceanu…and that Dominque, her inspiration was actually her sister!
